Self-promotion is something I struggle with mightily and I've heard the same from many other female creatives. I'll tell anyone in earshot about the latest project I've done, but when it comes to stepping forward and promoting myself as a brand -- well, that's when the little voice starts whispering words like "bragging" and "show-off" and "gigantic fraud who really doesn't have anything to offer." Your efforts to address the gender imbalances in the ad business are really exciting to me -- I'll be coming back often. This is a great post.
